Some Important Telephone numbers

These are some important toll-free ( most ) numbers that you might find handy in some situations. Works well with the land phones. Must work with all mobile phone services too.

1. National Emergency Number : 108

T
his is the first number that you should call in case of any general emergency. Accident, murder , fire, any life threatening situations, rescue situations, traps, drowning, Animal and insect bites (snake bite,scorpion sting etc.). If u dont remember any other numb, just call this one.

2. Road Accidents : 1073 ( On highways )

For any road accidents on a state or a national highway, or any other emergency when you are traveling on a highway. Includes medical emergencies, childbirth etc. In case u need an ambulance or a first aid, call this.

3. Child Line : 1098

This number is for the assistance of destitute children. Complain all child abuse, and child employment, assault, anything that involves a child less than 18 yrs of age

4. Disaster Management Hotline : 1096

This one is for all disasters, natural calamities like flood, fire, earthquake, cyclones etc... Anything that might need relief work and rehab.

5. Women's helpline : 1091

This is for the assistance of ladies, eve teasing, abuse, assault, anything involving adult women. If the lady is less than 18 yrs of age,... darn never mind just call this

6. Terror Hotline : 1090

The hottest line of all, I must say. Round the clock service, u find anything like a terrorist activity or anyone that looks like Bin laden, call this one... Guns, Drugs, Bombs, Bullets, you find anything like this, call this numb...

All these numbers work 24hrs a day round the clock.. Your identity will be maintained a secret so u don't run into any kind of trouble with the bad guys. So never fear..
